RJW White Micro Egg

The white micro egg is a subtle but highly effective pattern for stillwater trout, particularly in put-and-take fisheries where fish have become cautious of brighter colours. Its natural, pale profile makes it an excellent option when trout are feeding delicately or in clear conditions, offering just enough attraction without being overpowering. It performs well when suspended a couple of feet below a large dry fly or under the bung, and it can also be fished as part of a washing line setup where its understated appearance often proves irresistible to pressured fish. Tied on a dependable size 16 wide-gap hook, it provides secure hook holds while maintaining a neat, natural presentation.
