RJW Red Shipman’s

The Red Shipman’s is a finely tied dry fly that imitates emerging midges and other small insects. The slim body is tied using a hair and squirrel blend dubbing in vibrant red, segmented with a subtle pearl rib to add gentle contrast and encourage strikes. Antron fibers are incorporated to enhance buoyancy, allowing the fly to sit naturally on the water. This pattern is particularly effective when trout are feeding selectively on emergers during midges and other small insect hatches.
