RJW PT CDC

The Pheasant Tail CDC is a finely tied CDC dry fly that imitates emerging midges and other small insects. The slim body is tied using black pheasant tail fibers, segmented with a fluorescent orange rib for subtle contrast that helps trigger strikes. The thorax is tied from natural peacock herl dyed black, adding texture and lifelike movement in the surface film. A CDC wing ensures excellent buoyancy and allows the fly to sit naturally on the water, making it highly effective when trout are feeding selectively on emergers.
