RJW Prismatic Cormorant

The Prismatic Cormorant is a high-attraction version of the classic cormorant pattern, well suited to small waters and stocked venues where added flash helps draw fish in. The body is finished with a prismatic tinsel rib, producing subtle, multi-colour flashes as the fly moves through the water, making it effective in a wide range of light and water conditions.

A black marabou wing gives the fly its lifelike movement, pulsing and breathing on both the retrieve and the pause, while maintaining a strong, dark silhouette that trout readily recognise as prey. The combination of flash and movement makes this pattern a dependable choice when fish are feeding confidently or need a visual trigger to commit.

This fly can be fished static, on a slow figure-of-eight retrieve, or pulled at varying speeds, either on its own or as part of a team.
