RJW Mirage Tag - Stripped Quill Yellow Owl

The Stripped Quill Yellow Owl is a beautifully delicate dry fly, designed to tempt rising trout on both rivers and lochs. The slim, segmented body is crafted from premium quality hand-polished and hand-stripped peacock quill, dyed a vivid fluorescent yellow that gives the fly a natural yet striking appearance on the water. Combined with a buoyant CDC wing, this pattern sits perfectly in the surface film, imitating small upwinged flies and challenging selective fish. It is particularly effective during evening hatches, when trout are feeding steadily on emerging insects.
