The Hydro yellow micro egg is a proven stillwater trout pattern, especially effective in put-and-take fisheries where trout are quick to home in on bright, eye-catching offerings. Its vibrant yellow colour acts as a trigger point, making it an excellent choice when fish are holding off the bottom or feeding high in the water column. Best fished suspended a couple of feet below a large dry fly pattern or under the bung, it also comes into its own as an attractor fly on the washing line, where its visibility and movement draw fish towards your cast. Tied on a reliable size 16 wide-gap hook, this fly offers secure hook-ups without compromising presentation.
