RJW Black Mini Snake

The Black Mini Snake is a highly effective modern lure pattern designed to trigger aggressive takes from both wild and stocked trout. At 5 cm in length, it perfectly imitates small baitfish and distressed fry with lifelike movement. This fly is tied short, with the hook positioned closer to the tail to significantly improve hook-up rates — a refinement that gives anglers a real advantage. Mini versions of the traditional snake pattern have surged in popularity in recent seasons, offering all the mobility of the original without the excess length.
