Popper Fry (Barbed)

The Popper Fry is a highly effective surface pattern designed to imitate a small, injured fry struggling on the surface. Tied on a size 10 hook, it features natural-coloured rabbit fur combined with a gold body, creating an attractive and realistic fry profile.

The buoyant foam post keeps the fly sitting high in the surface film, while the movement of the rabbit fur helps give the impression of a vulnerable, distressed baitfish. An excellent pattern when predatory trout are looking up and targeting fry close to the surface.

This fly is part of the RJW Essential Range — quality flies, tied on quality materials, held in stock and available for immediate delivery.
