Olive UV Snake

A highly effective, natural-toned snake pattern designed for small waters and stocked venues when trout are feeding confidently or following flies without fully committing. At approximately 9 cm in length, this fly offers a realistic profile with added UV attraction to help it stand out without appearing over-bright.

Tied with olive rabbit fur to provide constant movement, this pattern is enhanced with silver and gold flash to add subtle sparkle and increase visibility. The olive UV straggle fritz gives a gentle UV presence that works exceptionally well in clear to lightly coloured water. Heavy weighted chain eyes help the fly sink quickly and maintain a jigging motion on the retrieve, making it effective when fished deeper or along contours.

This fly fishes well on intermediate and sinking lines using slow pulls or a steady retrieve.
