Black Obsidian Snake

The Black Obsidian Snake is tied using Obsidian Black Straggle Fritz, giving the fly a full, mobile profile with plenty of movement in the water. A subtle mix of black and red flash runs through the pattern, adding just enough attraction while keeping the overall appearance dark and natural.

At approximately 8cm long and finished on a strong size 10 hook, this is a substantial snake pattern suited to searching larger areas of water. Fish it on a sinking line with a varied retrieve, changing the speed and pauses until you find what the fish are responding to.

Please note: the front hook has been clipped, leaving the fly fishing on the rear hook only.

This fly is part of the RJWFlies Essential Range — high-quality flies tied on premium-quality hooks using quality materials. Held in stock and ready for immediate delivery.
