Black Holographic Diawl Bach

Black Holographic Diawl Bach

A dark, versatile take on the classic Diawl Bach, this version uses a black body with a holographic rib to give the fly a subtle flash and plenty of definition in the water.

The black holographic rib catches the light as the fly moves, adding just enough attraction without making the pattern overly bright. Finished with vibrant hot orange goose biot cheeks, it has a strong contrast point that can be particularly effective when trout are looking for something that stands out among a team of more natural patterns.

The Diawl Bach is a proven nymph pattern for stillwater trout and is well suited to fishing on a floating or intermediate line, either as part of a team or on its own. The slim profile and movement of the pattern make it a useful choice when fish are feeding on buzzers, nymphs and other small aquatic insects.

The combination of black, holographic flash and hot orange cheeks makes this a particularly useful pattern when a little more contrast and attraction is needed, while still retaining the traditional profile of the Diawl Bach.
