Biscuit Mirage FAB

Biscuit Mirage FAB

A subtle but highly effective FAB pattern, the Biscuit Mirage combines a soft biscuit tone with the added attraction of Mirage flash. It offers a more muted colour profile than many of the brighter FAB patterns, making it a useful option when trout are looking for something a little more natural.

The Mirage fibres catch the light as the fly moves through the water, giving the pattern a subtle flash without overpowering the biscuit base colour. The result is a fly with plenty of movement and attraction while still maintaining a relatively understated appearance.

The buoyant FAB profile makes this an excellent point fly for a washing line setup, helping to keep the rest of the team fishing effectively higher in the water column. It can also be fished on its own as a searching pattern, with the buoyancy and flash making it an interesting target for cruising trout.

A useful alternative to brighter FABs, particularly when fish are responding to paler or more natural colours, the Biscuit Mirage is a versatile pattern to have in the box throughout the season.
